📚

Are you looking for fresh marketing ideas?

Sleepy stories will be a collection of 10 episodes, each a warm, intimate retelling of a story. 10 different stories. 10 different narrators. The main genres are fiction, fantasy or folklore, but each writer will have creative freedom and each narrator will make it their own, thus each episode will showcase the unique personality of both contributors. The length of each episode will be about 30 minutes. Listeners will calmly drift off to sleep to an unscripted retelling of a unique story.

If you're a writer: you'll submit up to 3 short stories for the narrator team
If you're a voice actor: you'll either choose or be given a story that you will read, get familiar with and then retell unscripted in front of the mic

    Then:
  • Alison, the organizer, will add music, edit audio and produce a podcast episode
  • Once all 10 are in, scheduling will begin
  • Each episode will be posted to every podcast platform and on the blog with narrator and writer bios and links to whatever website you decide. Volunteers wanted to set up a YouTube stream.
  • All involved parties can promote the show to their audience
  • Listeners will be encouraged to support the show monetarily through a Podbean or Patreon account
    • It's possible that we sell extended episodes... open to suggestions and ideas for monetization!

Sleepy Stories is an opportunity to meet and collaborate with other professionals in our field and get your name in front of a larger audience by the power of shared marketing. It is a chance to showcase your skills and use your creative freedom. Each episode will be unique and cozy. All creators will get to swap information and throw ideas around. Everyone is encouraged to participate in their own way and play on their strengths, for a chord of multiple strands is infinitely stronger than a single thread.
